Fiano di Avellino D.O.C. 2000

Experimenting the ageing potentialities of a vine variety of white berry, symbol of the Irpinia area. This is how this wine is born, enriched in time by complexities and emotional value, a due homage in the end.

Late harvest of grapes selected from a peculiar family winery particle. Prolonged maceration with skins at lowtemperature followed by soft pressing and controlled temperature fermentation and finally years of refinement in steel.

Production area Salza Irpina (selection of house vine)
Particle 189
at 550 m. above sea level

Grape variety Fiano 100%, late

Winemaking Prolonged maceration with skins at low temperature, followed by soft pressing and controlled temperature fermentation

Refinement A year after the harvest in steel with the “fecce fini”, afterwards 13 more years in steel and bottle

Aroma It is characterized by an elegant perfume of ripen and toasted fruit, that is completed by delicate notes of fry fruits and a strong fumé

Taste Harmonic and intense, with a determined taste, tasty with a pleasant consistence. It still surprises, for its age, the sour freshness and the more it rests in the glass the more it gets richer of elaborated aromatic notes

Match Goes with sophisticated plates, but also with greatly structured ones of both fish and white meat. Savored alone in a big goblet makes it a unique sensation experience.
